Best Photo Spots on TCNJ's Campus
TCNJ has so many beautiful photo locations — from iconic buildings to secret little corners of campus that hold meaning for YOU. Depending on your major, we can even visit the building where you spent most of your time.
Here are some of my favorite go-to spots:
Major-Specific Buildings
Whether you’re an education major or in the sciences, we can include a location that’s meaningful to your academic journey:
- School of Education – for future teachers
- Trenton Hall – a great pick for nursing students
- Packer Hall – perfect for Kinesiology majors and anyone in the health fields
Science Complex Fountain
Located in the heart of the science area, this iconic fountain is one of the most popular photo spots on campus. Whether you’re a science major or not, it makes a stunning (and fun!) backdrop.
Feeling bold? Jump in the fountain; it’s a TCNJ tradition!
Green Hall
One of the most classic and widely recognized buildings on campus. The white columns, elegant stairs, and grand architecture make Green Hall perfect for:
- Larger group shots with friends or family
- Classic headshots you can use post-grad
- Cap & gown portraits that feel elevated and timeless
Library Arches
In front of and surrounding the TCNJ library, you'll find elegant arches that frame you perfectly for portraits. This spot is great for:
- Small friend groups
- Individual portraits
- That mix of modern & classic architecture
Arches Near the Science Complex
Right near the Science Complex Fountain is another hidden gem — a set of arches surrounded by greenery and light stone architecture. This is one of my favorite tucked-away areas for natural light and variety.
Roscoe Statues
There are actually two Roscoe the Lion statues on campus; a concrete one near Roscoe Hall West, and a newer bronze statue near the student center. A new tradition says that rubbing the bronze Roscoe brings good luck!
Including Roscoe in your grad session is a fun nod to your school spirit, whether you want a posed shot or a quick fist bump with the mascot.
TCNJ Entrance Sign
Don’t forget this classic photo spot! The entrance sign is a must-capture to mark the completion of your journey at TCNJ. It's a quick stop that adds a lot of meaning to your gallery.
Session Planning Tips
- Bring your cap, gown, cords, and stole; and don’t be afraid to add a fun personal touch (think signs, flowers, champagne, or confetti).
- Want to include a roommate, bestie, or sibling? You’re welcome to bring someone along; we’ll just build that into your session time.
- Sessions are typically best scheduled for late afternoon or early evening for the dreamiest lighting.
- Have a specific shot or building in mind? Let me know ahead of time so I can plan our route!
