My newborn sessions are gentle, relaxed, and baby-led. There’s plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks as needed. I create a calm environment where parents can feel at ease and simply enjoy time with their new baby. The result is a collection of images that feel timeless, emotional, and true to your growing family.

What to Expect From a Newborn Session

Newborn sessions are designed to be slow, gentle, and flexible. Instead of rushing through a strict timeline, we move at your baby’s pace and allow time for all of the little moments that come with newborn life.

These sessions typically include baby alone, family photos, each parent with baby, sibling photos if applicable, and any meaningful details you would like captured.

Newborn sessions are best within the first 1–3 weeks after baby arrives, but there is always flexibility depending on when baby is born and how your family is feeling. I recommend reaching out during pregnancy so we can plan ahead and keep your session flexible once baby arrives.

This session is designed to move at your baby’s pace. The “up to 2 hours” timeframe allows plenty of flexibility for feeding, soothing, changing, and breaks as needed while still capturing all of the must-have photos. We may not need the full two hours, but this extra time is reserved to keep the session calm and relaxed for you and baby.
