Back in October, I had the honor of photographing baby Calvin’s newborn session, and it was truly one of the most peaceful, heartwarming sessions I’ve done! A few months prior, I had captured Nicole and Aki’s maternity session at the always beautiful Sayen Gardens (blog link coming soon!). It was so special to reconnect with them and meet their newest addition to the family.
Newborn sessions are always such a joy to photograph. It freezes baby's first few days in a photograph and captures all of the joy and emotions of welcoming a little one to the family. From the moment I walked into their home, I could feel how loved and celebrated Calvin was!
Baby Calvin's nursery was stunning — full of thoughtful decor and sentimental touches that Nicole and Aki had handpicked. It was the perfect, calm space for our session. The natural light poured in, and everything about the setting was warm and welcoming. I truly loveddd his baby room!
Calvin himself was a gem to photograph. We captured a beautiful mix of solo newborn portraits, tender shots of him with mom and dad, and those quiet in-between moments where you can just see the love from these new parents. It's always important to me that I capture a variety of poses and groupings, because these early moments with baby are something worthy of freezing in time!
