I’m lovingggg these photos from Kayla’s graduation session! Recently, I had the honor of capturing Kayla on her college campus to celebrate the end of her undergraduate years, and it was such a fun, meaningful evening. We focused on lots of individual portraits of Kayla, along with some amazing photos with her friends.
Kayla reached out a few months prior to her graduation with a clear vision: she wanted her senior photos taken right on campus at TCNJ. For every session, I send clients a session prep guide specific to their session type. Inside that guide, I cover details like what to wear, props to consider, and a simple checklist to help everything feel organized and stress-free. I also love when clients send inspiration photos, and Kayla did just that—along with letting me know who would be included in her photos so I could plan ahead.
We kicked things off at Kayla’s dorm, Townhouse South, where we photographed her with her friend Gianna. This was such a perfect way to begin. We started capturing those everyday, meaningful spaces that hold so many college memories.
Next, we headed to Trenton Hall to take photos with Kayla’s roommate and then brought in more friends for group shots out front. We captured a mix of images in their cap and gowns and in their scrubs to commemorate their nursing degrees, which is such a special detail that adds even more meaning to their graduation photos. We finished this portion with a combination of group friend shots and individual portraits of Kayla.
After a quick change back into her cap and gown, we moved over to the biology wing for photos by the biology fountain and the surrounding science building arches. These are some of my personal favorite spots on campus—the architecture and greenery always photograph beautifully and give such a timeless look!
We wrapped up the session at Green Hall with more cap and gown portraits to finish the night strong. A perfect ending location for a perfect grad session!
Kayla, thank you so much for trusting me to photograph this special milestone. It was such a joy capturing this chapter of your life!
