Best Photo Spots on Rider's Campus
Rider’s campus offers a great mix of classic architecture, greenery, and iconic landmarks that make for beautiful graduation portraits. Depending on your major, we can also visit your specific academic building for photos, a meaningful way to tell your college story.

Major-Specific Buildings
If you spent most of your time in a certain building on campus, whether you’re in the College of Arts and Sciences, Education and Human Services, or the Norm Brodsky College of Business, let's go there! Many graduates like to take photos at their most visited spots to
Lake Backdrop
One of the most versatile and scenic spots on campus. The lake area offers:
- Open grassy spaces
- Trees and walking paths
- Hammocks and benches
- A nearby gazebo
This location is especially great for groups, friend photos, and relaxed portraits with lots of variety in one area.
Rider Alumni Rock
Join in on a classic Rider tradition by capturing a photo at the Rider Alumni Rock! This is a fun, meaningful stop for cap & gown portraits or celebratory shots, and a must-have for showing off your Rider pride.
Bart Luedeke Center
A Rider staple with multiple looks in one location:
- Balcony area with Rider flags
- Brick backdrops
- Front-of-campus feel
Perfect for classic portraits, school-spirited shots, and polished images you can also use for LinkedIn or post-grad announcements.
Rider University Sign (Along the Road)
A staple graduation photo spot and always a client favorite. This location looks especially great for champagne pops, confetti, or bold cap & gown portraits. It’s a quick stop that makes a big impact in your final gallery.
Bronco Bushes
A fun and iconic Rider detail that adds personality to your session. Great for close-up portraits, cap tosses, or casual sitting shots.
Session Planning Tips
- Bring your cap, gown, cords, stole, and any honor accessories.
- Add personal props like champagne, flowers, confetti, signs, or balloons.
- Want to include a roommate, bestie, or sibling? You’re welcome to bring someone along, we’ll plan for it in advance.
- Sessions typically photograph best in late afternoon or early evening for the dreamiest light.
- Have a specific building or must-have shot in mind? Tell me ahead of time so I can plan our route!
