As the spring season approaches, we all know the cherry blossoms will soon be here! Now is the perfect time to share some photos from one of my previous sessions at the cherry blossom trees in Princeton, NJ.
Two years ago, Casey reached out and wanted to book photos with the seasons beautiful cherry blossom trees. We looked into booking for the first week of April, and it worked perfectly! With the comfortable temperatures and gorgeous pink trees, we had the perfect set up for photos!
Cherry blossom sessions are heavily sought after year after year, so when it comes to book these sessions, it’s important to plan them carefully! Each year it can be tricky to predict the bloom times, but I have had luck scheduling my clients for cherry blossoms within the first week of April. This seems to be the sweet spot when majority of the cherry blossoms are still in bloom. While I have had success within the first week of April, I recommend scheduling no later than the second week of April! This ensures we are still working with the trees before their blooms disappear. Of course, it may change year after year due to different temperatures, storms, winds, etc., but it’s important we try our best to prepare and be flexible!
While the priority was making sure we had cherry blossom trees, we seriously lucked out and had the best session ever! This family said it’s been YEARS since their last session, and that baffled me because they were total PROS in front of the camera! They all came prepared with gorgeous spring time apparel which beautifully complimented one another and the cherry blossom trees, but also came with the best smiles!
Emma and Mia, the two daughters, had such a blast during our session (and I think the photos definitely show)! We captured photos running around, twirling, skipping, hugging, and of course, showing off their beautiful smiles!
