Baby Brooke's Newborn Session

I recently photographed Brooke and her gorgeous family in her first few days of being born and let me start off by telling you how OBSESSED I am with these photos. I had previously photographed this family of three for mom's maternity photos (while baby Brooke was in her belly)! We had first met at Sayen Gardens in Hamilton, NJ - we found some great spots for this session!

This time, I drove down to the family's house for this in-home newborn session. Brooke did great with her newborn photos and sure looked gorgeous during them. I typically bring over a few props for photos, some we used, but also incorporated some fabrics and adorable bows that mom had! To match the bow, mom had a great idea of using a scarf to wrap Brooke in, which was such a gorgeous shade of purple that was very close to the little bow headband on her. We started off doing some basket shots of Brooke since the rest of the family was still getting ready.

And of course, we had to capture some of Baby Brooke's adorable little faces, including this sweet yawn she let out! She was a bit unhappy to start with, but quickly calmed herself down to sleep and stayed asleep for almost the rest of the session! This was great because mom was able to move her around for photos and pose her for the photos she was hoping to get. 

Benjamin (older brother) was so excited to tell me all about his baby sister! He was so happy to be a part of the photos, and his love for her definitely shows in the photos. I can only hope that he loves his sister this much as he grows up LOL!
