Aristy Family Session - JENNAKPHOTOS, NJ Photographer

Some families become extra special to me over time, and the Aristy family is one of them! I’ve had the privilege of photographing them since 2022, back when it was just mom, dad, and little Dani, who just turned three years old. Watching their family grow and being invited back several times a year to capture birthdays, holiday cards, and big milestones has been such a joy. Most recently, I even had the honor of capturing their newest bundle of joy, sweet Gabriella, for her newborn and first birthday session earlier this year!

From the very first session, they’re naturals in front of the camera. Always bringing cheerful smiles, playful candid moments, and such an effortless warmth that shines through in every shot. Each time we meet, I leave with excitement to edit photos from this session, and way too many favorites to narrow down!

This year’s annual family portraits took place at a beautiful farm and historical house location in Princeton, NJ. It was one of those days where the weather was absolutely gorgeous, the light was dreamy, and the scenery made for the most timeless backdrop! The historic charm of the house and the natural beauty of the grounds paired beautifully with their coordinated outfits.

The Aristy family always does such a wonderful job with wardrobe choices, and this session was no exception. The soft tones they picked looked perfect against the scenery, and the girls’ sweet dresses for Gabriella and Daniella couldn’t have been cuter. Their outfit choices always feel thoughtful, yet still comfortable enough for the kids to run, play, and be themselves (and we definitely did plenty of running and playing)!

One of my favorite parts of working with the Aristy family is how they lean into both posed and candid moments. We took time for those classic portraits that will be treasured for years to come, but also allowed space for giggles, snuggles, and playful moments between mom, dad, and the girls. Those unscripted smiles and natural interactions are what make sessions like these so memorable.

Dani has grown so much since I first photographed her, and she’s become such a wonderful big sister. Gabriella, though still so little, has already brought so much joy and laughter into their lives. Watching the bond between the two sisters unfold in front of my lens was a highlight of the day.

This session is easily one of my favorites to date. Between the stunning Princeton location, the joyful spirit this family always brings, and the way everything came together so seamlessly, it was magical! As always, narrowing down my favorites is nearly impossible, so I decided this one deserved a full photo dump of all the best moments we captured together.

To the Aristy family: thank you for trusting me year after year to document your story. It’s been such a gift to watch your family grow, and I can’t wait for all the memories still to come.
