SPRING IS NEAR!

This season, I have so much prepared. I will be offering three different mini sessions for the season, for additional information visit https://www.jennakphotos.com/blog/spring-2022-mini-sessions-jennakphotos/.

One of my mini sessions will be with a Spring/Easter setup. The sessions will only be for children, as it is a smaller setup and not intended for full families. The great thing about the setup is that it is very versatile - if you do not celebrate Easter, the Easter props which include the Easter eggs and Easter bunny can easily be removed and replaced with additional flowers for set up.

The setup (as pictured) consists of various wooden crates as props, also for feeding for children. It also includes various Spring flowers for a beautiful pop of color. additionally, there is a white sheet cushion for children to sit on on the ground, as well as two additional white stools that can be added into the setup for extra seating or various posing.

NOTE: WHEN BOOKING YOUR SESSION, YOU WILL BE ASKED YOUR PREFERENCE OF INCLUDING EASTER PROPS OR NOT - PLEASE SEE THE SET UP WITH AND WITHOUT EASTER PROPS BELOW:

TIPS

TO HELP PREPARE FOR YOUR SPRING MINI SESSION

WARDROBE

Since these sessions will be taking place from Late March until Mid April, weather can fluctuate. I advise thinking of an outfit for a warmer session, and for a colder session so you are prepared for whatever the weather brings us!

If it is a cooler day, please bring your child in a coat - the coat does not need to be in the photos, but it is great to have in between photos!

Consider creating an outfit with lighter, pastel colors for the Spring season. Spring is also a great time to show off patterns in a wardrobe - if you choose to have your child wear a pattern, consider denim, plaid, floral, etc.

If you are including more than one child in the session, consider matching outfits or coordinating outfits!

ARRIVAL

Please make sure to arrive on time for your session. I highly recommend arriving 5-10 minutes prior to your session so you are prepared. In the event that you arrive late, we will only be able to use whatever time is remaining for your session and I will not be able to extend the time due to client tardiness, as these sessions are back to back.

I will be sending a reminder email the day before our session with information for parking and arrival, so please keep an eye out on that :)

PREPARING YOUR CHILD

Sessions with children can sometimes be tricky, but there are always some tricks you can try to make sure your child may be happy for your session.

  • Make sure they are well-fed and well-rested! This may be obvious, but it is a BIG one.
  • Bring snacks/water to the session just in case it is needed
  • If your child is old enough to have an understanding, talk to them about the session - let them know it will be a quick session and will be tons of fun
  • Bribes/rewards - they are your best friend! This is definitely a big yes to many parents, and I will admit, it does work to get some great smiles!
