how to have a safe photo session:
As we all know, 2020 has been quite the year! As we all try to figure out how to navigate through these awkward times, I have set a few procedures in place to make sure we have not only a fun session, but a safe one as well to ensure both you and your family are safe during our session.
ALL SESSIONS WILL BE OUTSIDE
Although we have some cold months approaching us, I will still be doing outdoor sessions. If you have scheduled an outdoor session, please be aware of the weather and that it most likely will be a bit chilly - so dress warm, bring hot chocolate/drinks, hand warmers, gloves, whatever you need to get a bit cozy and warm!
With most of my locations I photograph at, social distancing is quite easy! I make sure we social distance because even though I wear a mask when taking photos, I want to take photos of YOU AND YOUR family smiling, not with masks! By social distancing we will just be respecting others boundaries :) Unfortunately the high fives and goodbye hugs will have to hold off for a while, but I will always accept an air hug!
Throughout your session I will be wearing a mask to ensure we are both safe! Although I encourage you and your family wear a mask too, it is not required during the actual photo session (duh, we want to capture some smiles!). For some of my locations we will be walking around different areas, so I do suggest bringing masks in case fellow walkers get a little close by! Bonus: during these cold months ahead of us, masks actually help to warm us up!
SANITIZING AND HAND WASHING
During my sessions I always carry hand sanitizer on me! If you need it at any point of the session, let me know! For sessions with props included by myself (such as pumpkin stands, painting sessions, candy cane stands), ALL PROPS or anything touched by others WILL be washed (if can be thrown into washer/dryer, such as sheets, blankets, pillows, etc.) AND SANITIZED with Lysol and wiped down with antibacterial wipes!
LOOKING FOR SOME STYLISH MASKS TO WEAR FOR YOUR SESSION?
Check out my favorite mask maker, Barbara from Silly Grin Studios! You can browse her masks at www.sillygrinstudios.com, where you will be able to search through hundreds of patterns, and purchase masks in six different sizes to fit any face shape!
A NOTE TO CLIENTS:
- Please let me know if you or anyone you have been in contact with has had COVID-19 has tested positive within the last 14 days.
- If you are feeling sick or someone close by in your bubble is feeling sick/not well, please reach out to me so we can reschedule! I have no problem rescheduling sessions at all :)
- Please let me know if there is anything I can do to make your more comfortable during your session! If you are uncomfortable walking through areas where others may be, please let me know. By letting me know before your session, I will be able to come up with a game plan to make sure you and your family are safe and comfortable throughout the session!
